in flight toddler entertainment?

We are about to embark on the annual long flight to Europe with our now 3 year old... We have a portable DVD player from the last trip there, and I am currently on Amazon shopping for movies and other such stuff to keep him busy. Last year, he only slept for ONE HOUR, so I had to entertain him for the other 10+ hours, a daunting task. Anyone care to give me suggestions as to what movies their son[s] liked to watch at age 3? The only movie he's ever watched to completion is Babe. Think: future ADHD kid (not joking, unfortunately).

I also bought him a Leapster... prelude to the gaming disease, LOL, so if you have any good tips for games for that, let me know. Also have a toddler digital camera (bday gift), and will buy a cheapo portable CD player. Plus the requisite books, etc.

ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED, THANK YOU!! There will also be some long drives there...

That "trick" actually makes some kids HYPER, mine being one of them. Just when I didn't think he could ever be more hyper...

Ok, so far I've got:

Stuart Little
Toy Story
Bug's Life
Charlotte's Web
Incredible Journey
Peanuts Holiday Collection
THE GRINCH (yes!)/ Horton Hears Who
Land Before Time

I don't want anything TOO scary... why in every Disney movie does the mother have to die!??! (he doesn't like Tarzan)

You need a movie that will put him to sleep.

Try one of those Jane Austyn nightmares or something.

Re: in flight toddler entertainment?

See, I have never even heard of Pete's Dragon. This is how lame I am, and need help. When *I* went to Disney movies as a kid, it was to the drive-in theater in a huge Ford station wagon -- that's how old I am!
