Trailer for off-roading.....

Have any of you thought about buying or are any of you using a 4x4 off road trailer?

One of the things I would like to buy with my FJ would be a trailer. Not just any trailer, but one that can be taken off road. I know that they are not cheap either......

On the other hand, I wonder how hard it would be to just build your own....

Any advice or thoughts???

Alot of wheelers buy military surplus, either from classified or auctions. Mud has a few threads on buying/building them.

I'm going to get one of these eventually. Outlander Trailers, "Built for a lifetime of adventure."

Re: Trailer for off-roading.....

go to expeditionportal.com and check out the forums...lots of info there and even a couple of trailer companies chime in regularly...
not only can you get info and look at builds but if all you need are parts folks can help with that also.
I know adventuretrailer.com tracks rentals and owners who rent in case there is someone in your area.
good luck and learn before you burn (your money that is)

I looked at one of these at the RV show a few weeks ago. It was pretty sweet. Fleetwood | Camping Trailers | Camping Pop Up Trailer | Folding Trailers
