McCain is trusted by the political establishment insiders in Washington on both sides of the aisle. He won't upset any apple carts and will keep the ship of state in the same direction.
Therein lies the problem with Mcain. The "Blue Bloods" are not conservatives, and I'm really not as concerned about "chances" as I am with conservatism. Mcain will not win. Right or wrong, enough conservatives will sit this one out.

Well, I'm always up for "enlightenment" and am willing to change my mind (on some things), but I'm not sure what an "insiders edge" will get us but a slide to the left. I mean really, except for judges (and I have my doubts about that...from the horses mouth) & the war, Mcain is just as liberal as hilama.

Sorry you can't make it to the summit, I really do wish you could make it. But I am sure you understand that even though you have pissed off a lot of people here that no one will do you any harm. Plus now one knows what you look like unless you bring your gas mask or walk around with no pants on, so you could get out of there with only meeting and talking to the ones you want. Plus I think you have some people here that would watch out for you, and make sure that the violence and hate stay here on the forum and not face to face were body damage could take place.
