Yeah I think is all good evidence of how the forum can hurt as well as help relationships. We all love Air and we all want to see him in Ouray. I sure do. I think he's hilarious.

At the same time, "air"ing our politics has created the possibility of friction at the Summit. And mean the bad kind of friction, not the kind Jason likes.

there wont be any friction maybe if Tony5150RN and Air had to sit next to each other the hole time.

You know, if Air ever runs for office (do we know his real name, btw?), this forum has "blackmail" photos of him naked in a swimming pool with a helmet on!

Air in 2012!!

I know AIR's real name -- however -- I'm not telling unless he wants me to.

Re: Romney is Gone

I think it has been leaked a couple times (just first name) but for the most part Air is unknown to the masses. Not even any photos of him with out a mask on. I think he likes the mystery or he is one of those guys thats scared of the WWW and that people will stalk him for his knowledge and wisdom.

So air are you coming to the 08 FJ summit yet?

McCain is trusted by the political establishment insiders in Washington on both sides of the aisle. He won't upset any apple carts and will keep the ship of state in the same direction.

Romney couldn't be "trusted" and in the end, they'd have torpedoed him. The same is true with Paul and Huckabee who had even less of a chance than Romney or McCain.
That may be an inaccurate summary. From what I've read in three different newspapers the other day and from what I've heard he himself say, McCain is seen by many in DC, especially in the Senate and, indeed, in the White House, as too independent a thinker who doesn't always follow party line and will cross the aisle for support when there is common ground. What could be better than a president who is not afraid to stand firm on his convictions and yet he is still respected by both parties. I think we may indeed, have a winner here who can represent the middle and defeat the extremes in both parties. We'll see.

2 words! Ron Paul.
Go Ron Paul! When there is an ailing problem with the country, call in the Dr. Ron Paul would be a great President except our election is being controlled and decided by the media and the establishment. If you are not on board with either, you will never have a chance no matter what kind of grassroots support or money you have. What kind of a democracy is that? I will not let CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, etc. decide my candidate for me! If it comes down to Billary and McCain, I'm either not voting or hoping that there is an Independent candidate on the ticket. (done ranting)

I think at this point, we have to make a decision....Mexico or Canada? Or Both?

We can set up FJ Communes in both countries.
If the establishment has its way with plans for a North American Union (Mexico, United States, Canada) we will have no where to run to. I can't recall if McCain is a CFR member (Council of Foreign Relations) that is pushing this agenda or not but I'm pretty sure Billary is.

Ron Paul was the only one I liked but him being the little man with his radical ideas will never make it. I voted for him last Tuesday though.
Me too.

"will keep the ship of state in the same direction." Who the heck wants that? Except the establishment. We see where that has got us. A war on terrorism that will never end, an unconstitutional war in Iraq, runaway government spending, uncontrolled illegal immigration to name a few. This nation can't afford to continue in the same direction. This country is bankrupt. Add to the fact that we spend over 1 Trillion a year to maintain and overseas empire. Then consider the China Factor: The only thing keeping the U.S. afloat right now is the temporary willingness of Asian countries to keep buying U.S. debt, thereby pumping up the U.S. economy with dollars earned on the backs of Chinese laborers.

Rome is burning my friends.
