It has been building for a while -- the lies, the abuse, the disrespect. It is now all coming to a close because my boss has shown his true colors.
On the topic of his compulsive lying to me and my coworker concerning salary and bonuses -- "So what?"
On the topic of the disrespect directed toward me and my coworker -- "I don't see a problem with it."
On the topic of his best salesman and friend berating me in front of a customer -- "He said he didn't do it."
There was more to our little conversation, but this is more than enough for me. I'll be joining the ranks of the unemployed soon, simply because I can't morally justify working there long enough to find another job. This sucks.
Now I do find solace in the fact that I have a short video clip of his top salesman smoking crack in my warehouse, but I'm too nice of a person to use it against him.
If you know him, you'd recognize him. Someone told him I had it a long time ago, but since I never did anything with it, nor brought it up, I figure he must think the other guy was lying. Lying seems to be pretty contagious there.
But yea, what homedad said. The truth is the truth! If you try to blackmail him into something, well that's not good... but just showing the vid and him getting his ass busted, nothing wrong with that.

Something there is that doesn't love a wall, that wants it down...
"nemo me impune laccessit"
(translated from Latin to English - nobody harms me unpunished)
"oderunt dum metuant"
(again translated from Latin to English -let them hate, so long as they fear)
These small mottos have guided my path - and the well worn phrase from Teddy Roosevelt, "walk softly and carry a big stick". But they are not boastful, they are an indelible promise.

I'm usually easy going. But there is a price to be paid for screwing with me. As a result it doesn't happen that often. However sometimes people want to throw the dice and they will always come up snake eyes.
Walk softly, don't give offense, but don't be anyone's door mat.
