let me tell you, i have a 15 year old sister and if any of that f^&*3d up crap happened to her, you could bet money that i wouldnt have let him run that night, i was recruited for track running but went against it because of my knee. Im 20 years old but i woulda ran that some-b down and probably dismembered him right there.
ok that being said it wouldnt be that difficult to install an infrared bulb on a motion detecting lamp and wire a camera to that. this way chump prowler has no idea hes on disk trespassing and worse. and if you needed the evidence in a court of law its right there.
a test was once preformed by some university on scary sounds, and the number one most frightening sound was the racking of a pump action shotgun invest in one of those and you may be able to "kill two birds with one stone" so to speak

Two weeks ago, after taking her puppy outide to pee in the middle of the night, my daughter was standing inside petting her cat when someone put a laser tag on her chest, through the sliding glass door from the same dark corner of the yard. She ran to her room and locked the door but didn't tell us until the next morning. At the time is was dismissed as some kid playing a prank, but the Sheriffs office and us are now concerned that this is part of a long-term stalking.
We will be taking extra precautions from now on. She is not allowed outside after dark without one of us. Wife is going to be carrying our .38 and I'm going to keep my 9mm XD very close. We only moved in here in September and haven't put a fence around back yard yet, that is now #1 priority.
