Now go out and buy a motion activated security camera with IR floods.
Then when you have an image of his face, go to kinkos and print up warning flyers for your neighbors and schools. Submit the pic to your local police and news channel...They'll catch him fast then.
Buy a Surefire M3 or M4 flashlight have the higher rate lamp installed and use
this to see what is going on out there in the dark..have this beside you gun
you will be able to see him even at 30-50 yards away .
My first thought on this is it may be someone from your daughters school. (fled on foot... did you ever see or hear a car after he ran?) Sound like one of the boys playing pranks or "likes" your daughter. IMO... might wnt to check with her, her myspace, her friends and cell phone to se which boys she knows.
That being said, you have every right to keep your family safe, because you DON"T know who this person(s) may be. NOT shooting a peeping tom in your yard was the right choice (at least here in Washington you would have been screwed) but holding him at gun point would have been good had he not run like a little b*tch... Now i he had crossed into the threshold of your home... your good to go on the trigger (check YOUR state laws first plz)
I like the paintball idea. Pepper spray... less lethal force on a peeping tom would be good in my book...
Cameras are ok, but settng up motion lights in your yard would be better. Take away the hiding spots in and around your yard. Talk to your neighbors, see if they have had the same problem. Ask the Sheriff dept for extra patrol in your area.

About 10 years ago, in Bakersfield, a fire chief ran down and captured a ppeping tom who had been peeping his 15 y/o son. Turns out, the peeping tom was also the biggest firebug in our cities history, with over a two year streak of arson, including a fire that almost burned down an oil refinery. Its a symptom of something more twisted in their heads. They are just as dangerous as a perv who has already commited an assualt. Hope you catch him.

I second the shotgun suggestion....loaded with Federal 2 3/4 #1 Buckshot for maximum wound trauma (0 and 00 have less pellets and slower velocity). I load 2 shells of #6 birdshot first to minimize interior wall penetration and it will stop most people while reducing the chance of 3rd party injury (you may just forego this step and load all buck shot). If the target is not down, the next 4 shells are 2 3/4 #1 Buckshot and I wish anyone the best of luck after having sixteen .30" diameter pellets meet there body at over 1100 FPS four flipping times.
Shotguns require much less skill and accuracy to put deadly force on a target. I know when my heart is pumping and I have just been awoken from a pleasant slumber, wielding a handgun is inefficient and increases the risk of accidental collateral damage should I miss.

That would concern me as well.. Anything short of "bad" and he would have ran right off.. The last case I know of around here was the guy that had ran a kid/guy off for seeing his daughter. Not suggesting that was what heppened here, only the last similar shooting that I know of. He was running through the back yard and the guy shoots at him. He doesn't think he hit him or anything, but they find the kid/guy dead in the yard next door. About a year later, after a year in court, dude get's convicted and goes to jail. Odds are that if you shoot someone around here, for most any reason, it won't be a happy time for anyone. If he's running away and/or unarmed, it's even worse. I'm thinking taser, bear spray or bean bags in the 1100, might be an idea.. Ron
Net gun son. I totally see kokopelli's point of view here. I would just suggest firing a few rounds near the ground where they are. If there are a few of them that have taking a liking to your daughter, to know that her dad is armed and not afraid to shoot, will probably scare them gay.

I think they just made it legal to buy the tazers that cops use. (the ones that actually shoot out and hook into the perps body) You should get one of those.
Tazer make a shot gun projectile now it is wicked delivers like a 20 second zap or you could use rock salt that work well with out side affects like death you just may wish you were.
