So one of the offices clients had a party for us and some VIP type people tonight and he had some American Beluga Caviar.
I had to try it, I was totally thinking of Tom Hanks in Big when he tried it at that party scene, and was expecting the worst. It actually wasn't that bad and didn't taste like anything really. Come to find out that its top of the line fish eggs (except Russian beluga) and that it cost $5200 for what they had at the house. Then had a little taste of a $1500 bottle of Rémy Martin. Louis XIII Cognac
Holy crap it was like jet fuel.
It was a great night of first for me and I don't think I will have ether of them ever again at lest not on what I make.

But it was mainly older people, I felt kind of out of place with all the fancy stuff.

Na but I felt like I should have had one after the Cognac.

I had caviar once when I went to a special dinner at the San Francisco Culinary Academy. I have no idea which type of caviar it was. All I could say was it was very salty and I still don't know why people eat it other than to say they have. A waste of money in opinion, but then, I don't have a "very educated palate".
