Re: I thought is was April showers

Thundersnow is wicked. We've had it happen in these parts are recently as this winter.

I was passing through Seattle on a road trip in mid-January of 2004 and they had some freakishly cold weather combined with ice and snow and the place was a mess. The city buses were sliding sideways and coming off the electric wires and it was obvious they didn't have the equipment to clear the streets.

Here is the south end it snowed, but didn't stick at all. I plan on heading to the pass to go wheeling in the snow today. Crazy weather.... last Sat. it was 80 in Puyallup, now its snowing.

Soon cat and dogs will be living together... Tell him about the twinkie Ray...

Re: I thought is was April showers

My neighbor is a weatherman for the FAA in Auburn, WA., and he predicted this snow close to two weeks ago, as he mentioned it to me back then.

This sets a record for us.
The old record of snowfall this late into the year for the Seattle area was 4-17-1972.

Re: I thought is was April showers

Snowed a couple of times again this morning in N. Seattle, but now most of the snow from yesterday along with today's is melted. The weather this a.m. said that we're supposed to get more of the same later today and even tomorrow. Here is what it looked like out the bedroom window yesterday. It snowed like that for a couple more hours, too.
