ok, so the hype is what suckered us into this movie... we normally don't go to the theaters due to having to give up an arm and a leg for 2 tickets....
this movie was absolutely the funniest one we've seen in a LONG time... it's got not only Tina Fey and Amy Poehler from SNL, it has other SNL cast members as well as some other big actors...
we laughed throughout this one... there were parts where I had tears streaming I was laughing so hard
my all-time fav' scene from it: "I feel like I'm sh!tting a knife!!!!!!"
We definitely got our $18 worth out of this one...

Eh, I was torn on it. Sometimes SNL characters need to stay on SNL.
At this point though, it's not worth actually going to a movie for me...as I would have to go to the bathroom too often...as I am about to pop, so we will probably rent it!

yeah, I thought it would be really cheesy, but it turned out way better than I thought... I thought that Amy or Tina wrote the movie or something, but they didn't... Steve Martin looked really, really old in the film...
one of my friends back in Philly is about to pop too! she's due 5/20, with a little girl...

I'm also having a little girl. Scheduled c-section 5/15, but HOPING to either re-schedule for sooner or go into labor SOON! UGH!

I recently saw The Bank Job, 88 Minutes, Forbidden Kingdom and Leatherheads at the theater. For lack of a better term, these are all "guy" flicks. I found them all entertaining and involving (albeit sometimes silly and uneven) and I'd recommend them for trip to the theater on your own or in exchange for having to go to see Baby Mama to please the GF or to please your BF, if he's a guy who likes "chick" flicks and you're a gal who likes "guy flicks."
The next one I'm planning to go see is Street Kings. For obvious reasons, Baby Mama is not the kind of flick I'd go to the theater to see, but I'll definitely see it when it's sent to me along with the other 20-30 DVDs a month that I get from Netflix. I'll watch any kind of movie on DVD.

how was "Leatherheads"? we thought about that one as well...
now here's the irony... my hubby actually wanted to see "Baby Mama" more than I did I didn't really think it was a chick flick, per se... and the funny thing is that a young couple sat in front of of with their baby in it's carrier!
we decided to actually go to see a movie because we're moving to Alaska in less than 2 weeks and where we're going, there are NO theaters and it's a very isolated town of ~ 2500... so we're getting in some much-needed recreation now
