Re: Just felt a little tremblor roll through...

I've always heard that Munkays could sense natural disasters before they occur

At least you aren't in Reno where they are getting 2 or more tremblors a day, and building in frequency as well as strength. The experts aren't sure WTF is going on there.

Felt nothing here in L.A., other than the usual earthquakes, riots, fires and floooding

Speaking of which, what were you doing on this date in 1992? I was super busy....
first thing we hit was the liquor shop
only took one brick to make that window drop

sorry reminded me of Sublime. Actually I was out in Lake Elsinore planning for the appocolypse in case the riots spilled over the mountain.

Hmmm, earthquakes sound like a good reason for the oil prices to go up even more . . . even if oil production isn't affected.

Re: Just felt a little tremblor roll through...

We had a 2.9 just west of Searchlight NV. Don't think we felt it because we were to busy trying not to blow away!

Re: Just felt a little tremblor roll through...

i have this USGS site on my favorites and check it almost daily.....Quake: Latest Quake Info

my first earthquake as a child was the the Sylmar Quake in 71, then Whittier in 87 or 88, then the 92 Landers(Biggest longest quake i ever felt) and Big Bear quakes! then Northridge in 94? but nothing that big in the recent years!

Scott keeps saying we need a good 7 pointer to get some people to leave our nice state!!

The Landers(near 8.0) quake rolled for about 1 minute and i tried to sleep on the couch with my daughter(she was terrified) and with all the after shocks the couch rolled all morning! then when things finally started to calm down the Big Bear quake hits and pow! our tv falls and glasses fall out of the cupboard, and now the daughter is beyond terrified she feels like a cornered animal and is wild with fear! we had to go to LA for the day and get away from the aftershocks so she could calm down! she didn't sleep in her bed for months! Our son was just 18 months and was fearless at the time!!!

so its just part of life in California! rather have that then tornadoes and hurricanes!!! but at least you get some warning with those now!!
