I'm going to Boston in June for a wedding and need recommendations for lodging. There are rooms reserved in Boston:
Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites {Salem - $189+/night}
The Hawthorne Hotel {Salem - $129+/night}
Marriott Hotel {Peabody - $119/night}

the wedding activities are taking place in Gloucester (Cape Ann Sunset Cruise) and Manchester (Wedding).
It has been several years since I've been to Boston - but I absolutely loved Gloucester and the surrounding area. I wouldn't mind staying in a quaint, nice hotel that isn't part of a large chain. Any advice is much appreciated!
