What constitutes "concealed" and "plain view" when carrying a folding knife. I know its legal to carry a sub 3" folder if concealed, but I want to clip my 3.5" folding knife (closed) to my pocket (clip showing). Basically, would this be considered carried in "plain view"?
About ten years ago, I was pulled over for speeding. The officer claimed that he clocked me going 10 mph faster than I actually was. I know this because: I had the cruise control set at 65, and I looked at the speedometer when he pulled his Starsky and Hutch move behind me. When confronted, he told me that he already cleared out the radar. This of course was an obvious lie. Knowing the history of the town's legal system, I paid the fine and agreed that I wouldn't enter the town again for one year. As a result, nothing at all would appear on my record.
When things like this happen, is there someway to report it? There was no actual trial, just a letter from the local court.
Edit: In case you want to avoid this place (highly recommended), the name of the town was Martindale, TX, off Hwy 80.

I'm not familiar with Texas or the traffic laws. Sorry. But in Ca, if you plead guilty in court, you have no chance of making a complaint against the officer. You said in court that you did it, and paid the fine. So backtracking and saying you didn't holds no water. Again, sorry....
