Here's one from a JOL holder who just got his licence back from a suspension for speeding once.
I got pulled over just before a certain towns line, I could see the sign about 200 feet down the road why was he still able to pull me over.
Also can I wheel on those power line trails?
Last if my car smell like pot can he surch my car without my consent?

1.)I am not sure how the law is in the state where you live, but in Texas, we can pull people over for offenses that occurred 500ft or less outside of our city limits.
2.)I do not know the answer to #2
3.)If the inside of your car smells like pot, then yes, we can search your car, its called probable cause.
1. In California, cops have statewide authority (unless it is for a local ordinance)
2. dont know
3. yes, don't smoke pot in your car. and if your carrying it, you have a lot if it can be smelled.
I dont, I just buy alot of shirts and things from a shop that burnes incence like nothing else, not the fruity smelling ones either.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways at the last possible moment .... "Old Forester" in one hand, red meat in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming: "WOO HOO!! What a Ride."
Basically what it is saying that radar can only be used as proof in a city of 2000 people or more. Is this a legitimate defense or should I not even bother?
Any help with this one. I had a great little wheel up a power line trail last weekend, but the whole time I was thinking (in the back of my mind, a really tiny thought really, really) "this has to be illegal, I mean what if some guy rolled and took out a pylon or something?"

I really can't speak for your area, since I'm on a complete opposite coast. BUT, I can say that the power lines out here have some great dirt under them. But the dirt is a right-of-way for the power company, and privately owned by that utility. We can't wheel there, unless it's an easement....a trail crossing the power lines, or if its in a national or state forest area. If you are in the wilderness, it should be no problem. Look for signs prohibiting wheeling ot trespassing.
What does it mean when you get your ticket in the mail and it says mandatory appearance?
Don't you get a chance to just pay your fine and go to traffic school?
