Irony

Anyone else see the irony of expounding the virtues of mass transportation, walking, hybrid vehicles, bike riding, etc.. on a forum dedicated to a massive gas guzzling 4X4? Will we see a thread regarding a mountain bike convoy/caravan to the FJ summit next? Could be just me, but that's funny as he!!.. LOL.. Ron

Disclaimer.. I know it's all good and all that, but it's just funny

Re: Irony

Yup. As mentioned before, the FJC should be gauged in smiles per gallon.

Re: Irony

No irony here... I use bicycles and mass transit to get around the city where driving a huge 4x4 is completely stupid and unnecessary. There aren't any bus routes where I take the FJ though...

X2 .. I use mass transit 5 days a week and walk 2miles a day. I wouldn't want to subject my FJ to city scratches, I only like trail stripes

Re: Irony

I wasn't speaking to any personal irony, more along the lines of posting the virtues of owning a massive 4X4 on a smart car forum.. LOL.. Ron

I agree to a point, but the FJC is by far the most fuel-efficient 4x4 I've ever had. My FJ80 got 10-11 mpg in stock trim. Some of the older ones were worse than that.

But go ahead and guzzle all you want, I'll find more.
