Re: 3 Rare FJs in my town

I would look at the best price/year/mileage combination and go that direction.

Like Voight Kampff mentioned the orange is too canteloupey to me as well. Also described as creamsicle colored. When I heard they were coming out with orange, I was thrilled as Metal Tech built an FJ in orange that looked outstanding. Once I saw it, not so much.

I will say, that the look somehow changes to look more orangey to me when the roof is matched to the body color, but then you have the expense of that.

If either of those TT's have decent price and low mileage i would jump at those first. I think the red is great and the cement ones are terrific too.

I am a special edition junky and love the 2012 Radient Red! So pretty! But I also love the 2013 Cement since it has cooler wheels (IMHO) and it also includes CRAWL control. You get more from the 2013 but that red though... <3

Re: 3 Rare FJs in my town

I owned a red Toyota pickup for 20 years and also a red 4Runner for 5 years along with it and the 4Runner wasn't too bad, but the last 8 years or so the truck started to fade and oxidize pretty bad and then the hood started to peel and looked like I did most of the summers as a kid with a bad peeling sunburn. I wanted something more subdued when I bought the FJ. Something that would blend in a bit so I bought a Sun Fusion.

When the Magma was coming out everyone was trying to see what the color looked like. I was down town one day and they were getting ready to unload one from the car hauler at the local Toyota dealership. I turned around and came back and parked while they unloaded it and took some photos. The was hard as hell to do because the color changed as the FJ moved and it seemed like every photo I took showed a different shade of orange from a light salmon to a creamsicle, to orange, to a darker orange. Pretty good looking color in some ways.

I like the cement too. There's one here in town that an EMT from the next town over drove since new and then traded on a new Tacoma. It's got around either 35K or 55K I don't remember. They are asking $36K+ for it. It's a nice looking FJ.

Go ahead, skin it! Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens...

I'll ride in on a sunny day, Sing you a song, steal your heart away Like a cowboy Hang my hat like I'm here for awhile Kick off my boots and drive you wild Like a cowboy Well baby you know I can't stay long You wake up, I'll be gone Until then I'll hold on Like a cowboy.

I went with the red 2012. There were others available when I was looking for an FJ. But the TT package sealed the deal.

Re: 3 Rare FJs in my town

Not taking price and mileage into account...I'd say go either Magma or the Cement TT. Love the red too but that Magma looks great when the roof is either color matched or black. Then add black trim and accessories, it looks amazing. I am partial to the Cement though as I think it's the toughest looking and has a less obnoxious TT interior. (though I like obnoxious too).
