I got up early, put on my long johns, dressed quietly, made my lunch, grabbed the dog, slipped quietly into the garage to hook the boat up to the truck, and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour.
There was snow mixed with the rain, and the wind was gusting up to 30 mph.
I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad throughout the day.
I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back into bed.
There I cuddled up to my wife's back, now with a different anticipation, and whispered, 'The weather out there is terrible!'
My loving wife of 18 years replied, 'Can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that crap? '
I do not know about you Rip, but I am tired of this November in June weather we are getting.
Man, it was dark most of the day in Auburn Saturday, I did not see any sun until about 4:30 or so Sunday.
And now they are saying more snow in the mountains, I wanna go camping up there, but not with the snow.
Plus I want to hit the White River campground up at Mount Rainier for a week this August, they still have a lot of snow up there and are not open yet.

It's been unusually cold this spring, hasn't it? When "summer" does come, I hope its a better one than it was last summer...it was warm enough to go waterskiing for 1 day last year West of the Cascades!
Then again, I'm a cold-weather person by birth and by nature...when I see the record-high temps of 100+ on the East coast, it makes me very happy with 62 and cloudy. When I'm cold, I can put something on. When I'm hot, not even running around in a birthday suit is going to make me comfortable!
The snow "will" melt. Maybe late August, but it will melt, just in time for this coming Ski season.
