Responsible advertising

Hey have you seen the Optima ad where the guy runs over the median full of flowers. Or any number of ads that puts our hobby in a bad light or generalizes were a bunch of thoughtless idiots.
This kind of stuff reinforces the negitive attitude people have about 4wheelers.

What do think about sending an email or some sort of communication to these companies when they do this?

Responsible wheeling should promote responsible advertising.

Re: Responsible advertising

I agree. I think the ad would have looked better running over those squirrels in the other commercial....the one where they purposely make cars crash. Irony at its finest.

Re: Responsible advertising

Remember the Les Schawb spot where he drives hes 4X over a bunch of baby trees to show off his tires? That was a few years ago and I still remember it as stupid.

Or Les Schawb could give me some all terrains and we'll call it even.

Good point! I need to think bigger. It's like the guy in the trailer park who won the lottery and said he was now going to get a double wide.

Re: Responsible advertising

So if something is in it for you, you would make a comment to an advertiser?
Really, you would need a reward???

Guess thats whats wrong with this country.
Nobody can make an effort to do the right thing, unless paid!

I like baby trees and if someone parked their 4x4 on them I'd shove a spotted owl down their throat!
And I wouldn't ask for any reward.

Re: Responsible advertising

Beaterbob sorry, you made a good point and advertising like that should be discouraged. Maybe start a petition on this site or something.
