Re: Funniest excuse you ever used to stay out of work?

A girl at my old work would always tell me, "if you want to stay home from work, just say you have a rash... no one ever asks more questions when you have a rash".

I never used it, but she did all the time, it was pretty funny.

That's the thing- I am the only female in my office and while I don't miss work or call in sick, all I would have to do is say that I'm having a "female problem" and no one would question the validity of it one bit! No male wants to hear about female things!

I managed computing staff for several years, fortunately no more, and one guy was out about six times with "water pipes frozen" and ten times with "power out" in one winter! This is in Tennessee..LOL.. Ron

Re: Funniest excuse you ever used to stay out of work?

Me and my buddy/room mate worked in the same
office and had the same boss, and one day we
decided to go out on the boat for the day rather
then go to work, you know, spring fever... So We
deided to call out sick, and to make it interesting,
we called each other out sick, so I my buddy called
our boss and told him I would be out sick, and then
I called 5 miniutes later saying he would be out sick...

The next day, Our boss came into our office and
asked us how we were doing and what was wrong,
well, we both said at the same time "sunburn", he
just shoke his head and walked out...
