I started riding a bike to work...

So I am now getting my lazy a$$ up to ride a bike 3 miles to the commuter train station and another mile from there to work downtown. My work gives me a free train pass so I am getting to work and back for free.
Plus I am gonna loose my gut, maybe feel better and for sure sleep better. And believe it or not, I can get to work and back just as fast as I do in a car, thanks to rush hour traffic.

Take that Sheik al oil turd head! I'm gonna spend my gas money on beer!

Re: I started riding a bike to work...

Someone mentioned this earlier, but it is funny that in china more people are starting to use/have cars and motorcycles and less bikes. While in the U.S., we are starting to bike more to work and look to motorcycles and scooters to get to work.

My commute is short to work, about 4 miles. But there is not a safeway to get there without traffic. Speed limit is 45 tops. My work schedule is usually 4-12. So i am looking at getting a honda ruckus scooter for my short travels. They get about 100mpg, so about 2 weeks worth of driving on a gallon of gas. Yay!

Haha, good stuff! I've tried many times to bike to work all the time but usually fail after a week or two...

Current commute is ten miles one way with a stupid brutal hill climb. At the end of the summer I'm moving, will be 5 miles away on relatively flat groung... should help!

Re: I started riding a bike to work...

Today was a great day for my bike commute in SF Bay Area. Not too hot or cold but sunny nonetheless. Healthy 18 miles. Now I'm ready for a lunch time gut bomb...
