Any Union Workers...USW....Represented Employes???

Hey fellow brothers and sisters our USW contract is going to expire at the end of this year....usally the bargaining committee just rolls over the contract to the next year....but....we are starting negotiations....for the next contract....those of you that have had gone thru this....any words of wisdom????........RR

Having grown up in Detroit and almost being a member of Pipefitters Local 636 like my uncle and step-dad. Make sure you have a few months worth of income in savings. Good Luck, hopefully things get "negotiated" quickly.

Teamsters(freight) here. We just went through the National Master Freight Agreement here. After this ordeal, the only words of wisdom I have is if the union says it's a good deal, vote against it. The contract passed 2 to 1 and now Yellow (YRC) is changing everything, 140+ people at my terminal, will be affected some may lose their jobs all together unless they move to some place like coldwater, mi. Roadway guys just didn't go, so they as of now don't have enough drivers in my area for their change. But Hoffa made sure to give himself a $78,000 pay raise
