Anyone watch "Lost in Space" as a kid?

Back in the day?

Man, I loved that show. I use to take my mothers Curling Iron, and pretend it was a laser gun (the show had the coolest lasers, especially the rifles, I preferred the silver laser guns, compared to the black ones they use to use (forgot which ones came first).

I loved everything about it, from the Jupiter 2, the space pod, the robot, and I even thought Penny was hotter then Judy

I think my favorite episodes were "The Keeper", "The Golden man" and "There are Giants in the earth"

Watch Lost in Space Episodes, Clips, and Interviews - Fancast

I even think the FJ is based off the Chariot

YouTube - Lost In Space First Season COLOR Footage.

LOL, maybe that's why I got my FJ in Silver.

I also loved how Don always wanted to beat Dr. Smith's A$$.

There is one other episode, I have to go back to my box sets, but it's the one were John Robinson is entered in a competion (basically a hunt), and he has to pick a weapon, he picks the protective suit, and a Alien hunts him.

Another cool one was the alien robot that said "Crush, Kill, Destroy"

I Love Lost in Space.

Yep, another old fart here.
I watched the shows live when they were in black & white before they moved over to the color format the next season or so.

Watched the movie several years back, wish they would release another one that follows up, or just release another remake since the ones that did the movie are much older now too.

The roof of my FJ reminds me a bit of the robots bubble head.

Yes, I watched it too with my father who was also a big fan. I loved Dr. Smith. He was such a devious character. I feel without him the show would not have been a good as it was.

I loved the show. It showed on Sunday mornings in Pensacola, FL where I grew up. I had to try and avoid going to church so I could see it.

Re: Anyone watch "Lost in Space" as a kid?

My sister was an actress and a regular cast member in Land of the Giants, another 20th Century Fox science fiction show like Lost in Space was. They used some of the same sets, and she made friends with the Lost in Space cast and got me some autographed pictures and other swag from the set. Bill Mumy, the actor who played Will Robinson is about my age.
