Only about 6 people in my company (out of 500) know the size of our cash account, of that only 2 of the chiefs...it has been my experience that most people don't look at the balance sheet and make assumtions on other great looking numbers. Maybe your income statement looks great and your cash position will turn around eventually. but that's another ass-umption.

Seriously, though. I wonder if the storm caused higher expenses and/or losses than originally thought...

It hurt us very much, we had to shutdown 13 manufacturing sites in the gulf coast for a couple weeks and lost one site to flooding. it hurt for sure

Problem is that demand has declined alot so income projections aren't great

We first learned of this in the newpaper last week, gotta love when a company is open with it's employees. Well to be fair the company i hired on with was open but it was bought out last year and now not so much.
