Google Sketchup help needed!

I'm designing an offroadable camper using Sketchup (cool program BTW), and have run in to a problem that I can't resolve. Here's the frame:

The problem is with the three white rectangles on the left side. The center rectangle will be the tongue/hitch, and the two outside rectangles wiill go on a diagonal from the frame and will meet on the tongue. I know how to use the Rotate tool, but all three rectangles are locked on to the rest of the frame, so when I rotate one of them, the entire frame section gets twisted up. How do I unlock the rectangles from the rest of the frame? BTW, I'm new to Sketchup...this is my first attempt at designing something using it.

Cheers!

Make sure that it is a separate surface and not joined with the red frame.

Re: Google Sketchup help needed!

I think they are joined. I tried removing one of the rectangles, and it opened up the other frame rail. Is there a way to separate the two, or do I need to seriously backtrack? It's a cool program...
