Power seats won't go back, '97 Land Cruiser

The seats move forward but not back. On both seats, the outermost worm-gear rod does not turn. On another site I saw a reference to the cause being that the plastic, screw-in end caps covering the seat motor drive shaft had come off. This had happened on mine, but screwing them back in has minimal effect. Apparently once the cap comes loose, the drive shaft can travel shift position outward and tear up the plastic worm-gear that should be causing seat to travel on the rod. The inner rod and gear work on both seats.
Have read that there is a repair kit consisting of fresh gears and end caps. Anyone have experience with this issue or know where to find the repair kit?

Now that you've clarified the model I'm sure someone will chime in to help as there are several on this forum that also own 80 series Land Cruisers like yours.

Question Re: Power seats won't go back, '97 Land Cruiser

I just bought an old 97 Landcruiser and it has the same issue. Did you ever figure out how to fix it?
