New 07 Tundra

Just went through training today through the dealership I work for, for the new 07 tundra. All I can say is that toyota did a fine job on it. I think it will be a great seller for them. It really kicks the pants off of everyone else. Now I am in charge of decking a few out prior to sale (lift, wheels, tires, light bar, etc...). Just having trouble locating someone that makes wheels yet for it, my understanding is it is the current land cruiser 5 lug bolt pattern. Any questions on the new truck please ask.

Re: New 07 Tundra

Great looking truck for sure. Toyota will do very well with this model. A little Dodgey looking on the front end grill area, but it has grown on me. Don't buy it for gas mileage, its going to be a guzzler for sure.

Re: New 07 Tundra

Is this the truck they are building down in Texas, that they built the new plant for?

Saw the commercial about pulling the 10k lb load uphill, then the ramp flipping and it having to stop the same 10k lb load...very, very impressive.

I saw it at the dealership that I picked up my SE from...I really like it. If it werent for the gas mileage, I would have considered it over the FJ.

Re: New 07 Tundra

I test-drove one at Claremont Toyota in SoCal. Unfortunately, they had "decked out" all of the ones they had in stock.

Can you say ultra-shiny 22" rims on all of them adding $8,000 to the price!!!

The 4X4 one came to $57,000 after the rims were added.

I told the guy I loved it (which I did) but I'd never buy it with those stupid wheels on it... honestly, who wants a 4x4 truck with 22" wheels!?

Is the guy at TRDsource.com listening!? Talk some sense into your dealer and tell them not to put that crap on their rigs. There was a similar problem with FJs at this dealership when I bought mine last May -- that's why I bought my FJ from Longo.

I saw a couple of those commercials during the bowl....it's pretty amazing.
Too bad I have no need for a big truck
