The RS8 looks good, probably fun to drive but I can see spare parts being big$$$$$ when warranty hs run out.

Call me crazy but I'll take the diesel version of the R8. Anyway what is wrong with VW? They are first tier company in Europe. Most Americans still associate them with the original bugs that were inexpensive. In Europe they have the cachet of a BMW especially in the hot hatchback market.
