Have you guys seen this MotorTrend article?

07 Tundra vs. 07 Silverado.

Toyota has way more power and performance
AND better gas milage
Much higher tow rating
6 speed auto vs chevys 4 speed
more interior room and comfort + more cubby space and storage
Its a few grand more, but will have MUCH, MUCH higher resale value and lasting reliability

And the winner is.................Chevy? no.. no, MotorTrend isnt biased.

Re: Have you guys seen this MotorTrend article?

yeah well the "big 3" always seem to top these reviews. they always say some aspect of the review was unfair yatta yatta blah blah blah. bottom line is toyota is growing astronomically bigger and better trucks are in the future, and gm needs some positive articles to boost domestic sales. i still love chevy trucks always will, but they have got some improvements to make.

Re: Have you guys seen this MotorTrend article?

1st Place: Chevrolet Silverado
Stylish interior, solid build and loading flexibility, but hampered by its old-school auto transmission.

2nd Place: Toyota Tundra
A superior powertrain, more room, and clever packaging, but in this spec can't match Chevy's value.

So money is the disding factor.

I have never liked Motor Trends always though they were very biased. stoped reading them a long time ago when the cover story was V8 truck challenge with the Ford, Chevy and Dodge and guess who won, the F150 with a V10 (the Dodge also had a V10). If they can't figure out what V8 means then how can they write a good auto mag.

Re: Have you guys seen this MotorTrend article?

All info that reaches the masses is bias. From the newspaper you read to the 5 oclock news broadcast you listen to in your FJ or watch on the tube in your home.

Those massive business size bills need to get paid just like ours, and when someone pays those bills for you if you mention certain things, or word a story in a way as to suggest things.

You get the idea.

Read between the lines, listen and try to decipher what matters and let the rest go bye bye.
