My "new" 4runner

I just bought this over the weekendmy-new-4runner-102.jpg

It's an 85 4runner, efi, straight axle, ltd edition, all orig, 208k, ac. It's white w/ brown stripes w/ a bunch of dealer install stuff, shag carpets.....

The paints orig. and the body isn't too bad.....

Great find. You'll chop the roof, add a cage, put awesome coilovers on, and mount 39s on steelies for half the price of my FJ. . .

. . . wait a second

Re: My "new" 4runner

Not exactly sure what direction I want to head with this truck. There are plenty of modified runners out there and few that are unmolested. I may just try to restore it. One thing for sure, I don't have to hunt for end parking spots when I park. It definitely has a different feel than my fj.

. . . or restore it ofcourse - to its original 1985 beauty. Let us know what you do. How much do those go for anyway?

Congrats on a great find. I've got an '84 Hilux now and have had several others but I've always wanted a first gen. 4Skinner.

The mighty 22RE of course! Among the best all-around motors Toyota has ever produced IMO. Lots of torque, revs high, bulletproof, easy to work on, easy to hot rod.

No argument here, that's what I had in my '89 4runner. Congrats and enjoy! I love that you can remove the top on the pre 89's!
