Both are suppose to be "driver's" cars. In some respect I agree with that. Although the 1 series is no flyweight, it's lighter then the 3 series. The Caymen may be down on power, but I've heard that it has a great suspension. Sometimes it isn't all about power, but the sensation of speed and control.

Yeah, but if you're buying a Cayman for a drivers car, you're buying an S, hence the reason they didn't even bother with the base model the first year of production. It's an entry porsche for someone who wants to say they drive a porsche, just like the 128i will be for BMW.
For the sub $40k range, the 135i looks great. If you can swing it, the GT-R is just amazing. It's rated at 480bhp, but testers feel there's more then 500bhp. It even beat the GT3.
dynos have revealed the GT-R as having 480 horses at the WHEELs...imagine what it is at the crank, especially since it is AWD.

Ouch. Them are fight'n words! Actually I think there's a 125i BMW. Cayman is a hardtop Boxter. I don't care if it's entry level. It's still a good car. I would much rather have a regular Cayman then a Cayenne!

LOL, I'd rather have a Cayenne GTS with the 6 speed personally. I really do like the 1 series, I just want a 122d 3 door to use as a daily driver, too bad it'll never make it here.

That's wild. If we take loss at 20%, the GT-R is pushing 576hp at crank!
They're saying the V-Spec is lapping the ring at 7:25, the Carrera GT only ran a 7:28.

The 122d? I thought it's the 120d? One of those would be killer. 60mpg!
