Red face scooters...?

Well, we all know the FJ's fuel mileage sucks, and as a daily driver, it just doesn't cut it (for my wallet at least). So, i need a new toy. No, i'm not getting rid of the FJ (i will have it until we run out of gas)..

I've been looking for a dual sport dirtbike for a few weeks now and cannot even find a used one for a nice price. Now i am looking at scooters.. yup, a damn scooter. How embarrassing it will be to ride.. i don't know, but i can easily wear a full face helmet to cope.

This is what i have narrowed it down to, the 08 Honda Ruckus.

It looks semi cool, and Rob and Big ride them. 100mpg. a/t tires, and off-road like headlights

Any comments? pros and cons?? Any other recommendations?

Thanks

Heck yeah, I have a 5 min drive to work. This would be awesome.

Looks like a mini-bike on steroids, lol.

Re: scooters...?

I'm very serious about this too. My daughter just got her driving permit. Looking at getting her hardship so she can pick her brother and sister up from school. I would drive this and let her take the FJ to school.

Re: scooters...?

DominicG, i have been looking at these too! My job is about a 5 minutes drive from my house with no traffic. With traffic and sitting idling i could save soo much gas driving this everyday. There is a place near my house says they are 1899

Re: scooters...?

Aren't these the ones that Mikey and Vinnie from OCC had? If they are, Vinnie souped up his and it hauled @ss.
