Is that a "Joint Venture" line I see between Toyota and Ford?
No, it goes to Chevy.

Sweet !! If you were to get one, what would you choose?
I would VW group
I think I would have to go with VW as well.

What I find interesting is that Toyota and Porsche share hybrid technology and then they share diesel info with mini.

Re: Car Companies, who owns who?

I like BMW. I believe the Quandt (sp) is still the majority holder.

You know that the Fiat group has the cars with least reliability look at us talking, as if we are going to get any.

Re: Car Companies, who owns who?

A friend just sent me this....his wife had an order in for the "Smart" car,,,,BUT look what happened!

A message to all members of the 451 smart fortwo Owners & Enthusiasts
website:

April 1, 2008: Breaking News

Toyota just announced they bought 100% control of smart and have stopped production of the 2008 smart fortwo to create more demand for their Toyota IQ.

This is really sad news and as this will mean the first and last year for the 451 smart fortwo and I guess even though we are ³smart² we will be getting a little more ³IQ² soon enough.

Read more about this breaking news story:

GAG! Not in mine they better not! I know all BMW manual trannies are made by Getrag. Not sure about the automatics, but then those don't fully qualify as BMW's anyway.

I think this may refer to the recent deal between GM and BMW to co-develop new hybrid technology.
