2008 Sequoia added to the fleet.

We were getting tired of picking up Navigator parts and pieces off the trail, so we took the plunge and bought a new Sequoia 4x4 Limited!

We threw off the balogna skins they put on for tires and put Michelins on it.
It runs as good as it looks. We had a hard time locating this color in 4x4, but with only one in the state, it will not get lost in the crowd. I hope to get some trail miles on it someday, but for now this is Mama's new kid taxi.

It is almost rediculous how fast it leaves the light with the 6 speed auto. If it were not for the AWD I am sure it would be leaving rubber.

Going through the gears, you have to lift to shift. It wants to go pretty near the redline at full throttle. Other cars are ants in your mirror by the time you get to 6th gear. The average mileage was 6 before I reset it

2008 Sequoia added to the fleet.

Very nice color choice! Did by any chance happen to drive a Land Cruiser OR did you know you wated the Sequoia from the start?

Re: 2008 Sequoia added to the fleet.

I WOULD mod it, but Mama has full control of it for now.

I now have her old machine (99 navigator) to do with as I wish. I think I will cut the roof off and make a buggy out of it.

For now, I hope to get the Sequoia into 4lo on the Summit / Moab run!

As for the color, I had to ship it 500 miles to get that color. None in Tucson, Phoenix, or NM when I placed the order.

If I had another 30 grand to spend, I would probably have gotten the Landcruiser.

Very nice. I see them more and more now. I finally saw a new Land Cruiser. Got a chance to check one out at the Toyota Museum event.
