Gotta love the older toyota's, I'm still driving my 88 4runner that I bought new. Plan to SAS it one day and turn it into my "serious" truck.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Ross and I are in Colorado for a week + helping out my parents so there won't be any progress on it for a while.

Those 22RE's are awesome engines! Our 4Runner just got rebuilt at over 200K (cracked head and bad compression in a couple cylinders)...it was the first rebuild, though...and the prior owner had stock gears pushing 33" super swampers...pretty tough engines!

It runs like a champ now!

AWWW an 84 toyota Hilux. That was the first vehicle I bought on my own new. I love those things and according to top gear it is the toughest vehicle ever made. If you want a good laugh watch this.
