PS tell Tim I said hi
I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up looking in on this thread himself......and yep it sure is a small world.

When you consider how many of these trucks.... sold by all the manufacturers....... ever really get wheeled the way we do.......it is a very small community.

Re: Another damn Hummer thread

If you guys change your mind we might be able to do Spring Creek early Sunday Morning and to be down in Denver by 3:30. It would be the drive over to 285 then doing the trail, and then going to Denver that would keep us from our prior engagements. HMMMMM I'm trying to talk the hubby into going wheeling today

These pics are from the trails in my "backyard".....they literally start within 5 minutes of my front door......I'm back there all the time. In some I have my street tires on....and others the wheeling tires.

You SUCK !

That is a nice looking Hummer. I think the main reason Hummers catch so much flak is that so many are covered in chrome, polished 22s, rubber band tires, etc and never get off the highway (or the mall parking lot). This is the same reason that FJs that have been "pimpified" get lots of boos around here. However, doesn't matter what it is, if it get's wheeled and is obviously capable then it's gonna get respect. Your H2 get's Woodsman's respect.

It sounds pretty healthy too. Have you done any engine work/mods ?

Re: Another damn Hummer thread

Hey you'll get no argument from me about the damn blinger crowd...... on many Hummer forums I am the one that gives those guys the most crap.

I really think that reputation hurt Hummer a lot in the long run........they are much more capable than most people think......but all most of the public ever sees is the MTV style superficial B.S..

Re: Another damn Hummer thread

IMO, after having my H1, the toyota fj is great and much more reliable and street worthy. The H1 has way too many flaws including maintenance costs, repair costs, electrical issues, way too underpowered... etc. It is great offroading but i used it as a daily so the fj was much more practical and a better purchase.

The H2 is NOT made by GM as AM General has an H2 and H3 plant acroos the way from the H1 and HMMVV plant so they are very offroad capable. Now that China owns them, who knows what the next generation will be?

Re: Another damn Hummer thread

For sure, the next few years are going to be interesting for Hummer. I'm wondering if a change in direction is coming.

Re: Another damn Hummer thread

I was hoping this thread might get noticed by some Utah FJ Cruisers........ We run out here all year.

Any Utah FJC owners going to the Summit?

I have posted on a couple Utah run threads..... but no responses yet.

A couple Heeper friends and a couple other Hummer owners and I run local trails all the time.......love to have some FJ's along with us.

I have one friend that owns one but he never wheels it...... Always uses his KTM for the dirty work.
