I was hoping this thread might get noticed by some Utah FJ Cruisers........ We run out here all year.
Any Utah FJC owners going to the Summit?
I have posted on a couple Utah run threads..... but no responses yet.
A couple Heeper friends and a couple other Hummer owners and I run local trails all the time.......love to have some FJ's along with us.
I have one friend that owns one but he never wheels it...... Always uses his KTM for the dirty work.
I am going to the Summit and will look out for you. I am trying to figure out the shots of you in the close to home location. I first thought it was AF but now I am thinking it is the northern part of the Wasatch

Those are Old Ward Canyon Road above Bountiful.
These are American Fork Canyon......Forest Lake.
Cool I'll look for your rig out there too.

How are your doors attached to the truck? On the FJ there's only 4 bolts for the hinges, 1 bolt for the tensiony thingy, and then detachable plugs right inside the cabin for all the electrical.
If it's easy to do, consider taking your doors off completely for a run. I did this a few weeks ago and it was the most kick ass fun imaginable.
So, running the H2 more than the 3 on trails now, huh?
I was greatly surprised by the increased capability of the H2 vs. the H3....mostly just b/c of the increased ground clearance on the H2 when I went to Big Bear last summer.
Did you find the same thing (i.e., your H2 is a little more capable than your H3)?
Just wondering.
Sean
PS. Nice pics.

just take Jake's tube doors...
on a serious note tho.... it's amazing having tube doors for the fj! I absolutely love them

Hey... what up Sean! Good to hear from ya again and thanks.
Yep..... I do think my H2 does handle most obstacles easier than my H3.
It doesn't hurt that I have 38" KM2 tires and Staun beadlocks on my H2's wheelin' wheels.....
I'm not taking my wheeling setup to Ouray though.......Too many road miles and I'm driving from SLC to Denver before I go to Ouray.........So I'll have my 37" ProComp Extreme AT's on there instead.
Most of the wheelin' I've done in Ouray is easy and scenic.
I think my Hummer would look ridiculous without doors........(just like the FJC's do........)
Besides have you ever been inside an H2? It's nice in there......Why would I want to take the doors off?

Whew ! I thought maybe I was the only one that felt this way.

No doubt. Your interior would never be the same again after a nice dusty day on the trail and then an unexpected blowing rain and some of the resulting mud splashes.

Have fun in Ouray....I'd like to get up there and to Moab this year, but I've been blowing too much money on guns and ammo, so I'm gonna probably skip them this year.
The H2 looks good. Take it easy and keep the rubber side down.

Thanks man.....
I remember looking at pics of some of your collection of battle rifles.......I don't remember where or which forum..... but very, very nice by the way.
I thought I had a lot tied up (and I do)... but not as much as you.
I love my XCR... what do you think of yours?
