Angry A 1997 Bentley Continental R, a 1997 Aston Martin DB7 Volante and a 1997 Buick GNX...

What do these rare and expensive vehicles have in common? Not 1997.

They were all turned in for a $4,500 discount and are now headed to the shredder in the Cash for Clunkers program. Sickening.

NewsOK

EDIT: Story is wrong, it is an '87 BGNX, I should have known that.

1997 GNX? Not sure what that is.... did they mean '87? If so, that is really sad...

What ever car the bought with the $4,500.00 - they could have bought at least twice had the sold those privatly.

Maybe they can take it as a loss on there taxes I assume would be the reason to trade them in. They could claim it was worth much more and help them with their taxes rather than sell it out right.

Ah, Pontiac Fieros... Pretty cool cars for the time period.

I'm surprised there weren't any Ford EXP's. Damn, those cars were totally unserviceable
(try replacing power steering hoses; I got stuck doing that once, back when I turned wrenches for a living).

But, AMC Eagles? Man, those are just plain classic! Right up there with Pacers!

Wow, and it's a convertible, too! That's certainly a collectible, for sure.

My buddy bought a red Fiero for his wife, back in '84, I believe. It was a fun car to tool around town in. But, it wasn't the convertible model.
