Re: MINT Original FJ60 on Ebay....nice
This thread hits close to home. I was looking for an 40 when I stumbled across a '84 60 that had 42k original miles. All stock, never left Colorado (no rust) and with the exception of some slight paint fade was perfect. I bought it for 11,000 (looking back it was to much) and had a ball driving it sparingly for 3 years. I could never come to terms with adding modifications because it was in such great shape. But I found, as many of us do at times, that it just wasn't what I wanted. It wasn't a 40 (top off driving), it drank gas like there's no tomorrow and the no convienence items (cold A/C, power windows, etc).
In the end I sold it to vintage off road for 8,000 and miss it at times. But when I saw the FJ Cruiser in the auto show of 2003 I knew the 60 would not be in my garage for long. I'm asked by many how I like my FJC and I smile and say that I'm way to biased to answer the question cause I love this vehicle!
