September Photo Contest Theme

Well, the month of August brought about some new issues in the photo contest, which will be addressed this month.
To put it in a nutshell, this contest is supposed to exhibit some of the baddest FJs on this earth with some of the most dramatic scenery on this earth, and allow people to vote for the best photo. The winner is fortunate enough to get his photo on the splash page of this site, and gets $100 in forum dollars with any vendor on this site. It's not a boat load of cash, but it's something.

What we don't want to see happen, is people soliciting votes via PMs, other websites, or any other method, to where this becomes a contest based on who can raise the most votes. That just KILLS the spirit of this. We might as well call it Chicago politics and be done with it

I would much prefer that everyone jump on the "fair and good" band wagon and just vote their heart, but I realize there is a tool in every crowd, so if there is any soliciting reported and verified by either friend or enemy, the photo will be removed and there will be a temporary ban of 7 days for the person soliciting. If it is a friend soliciting, then that friend will be banned and the photo removed. If they are not a member here, the photo will be removed. ...so there is nothing gained by asking people to vote for you. If it is an enemy soliciting for you so that your photo is removed (are people really that diabolical?) then heads will roll in a whole new light.

I hate to do that, so let's just all agree to maintain the spirit of FJ Brotherhood and Sisterhood and let the best photo win I've always admired the membership here, and it's because the majority truly do care about what happens here at FJCruiserForums and to the world in general. We allow political threads and religious threads when no other AutoForums site does. Why? Because our members can handle it. So let's put it to the street level and continue to have a killer contest every month.

All photos submitted that are larger than 640 pixels wide or tall will be resized to fall within that size. All photos that are smaller will be left the same.

Please Private Message or E-mail all submissions to me. Do not post them in this thread.

Submissions will be received until 6:30 pm on August 31st

Once again, the winner receives $100 in forum dollars to be used with any vendor on this site.

...and the theme for the month of September is.........

.
.
.
.

FJ Cruiser Lights
It can be daytime, night time, stock lights, or 15 bazillion candlepower. Light it up for us!!!

Good luck to all!!!

I'm out, I think the brightest light on my FJ is the back up lights.

Re: September Photo Contest Theme

Dragon are we going to be able to view how many votes?? Or can we make it like our political system and have that a secret till the the winner is annouced??? I think that would be the most fair thing to do if at all possible... I'd like to hear what others think!!!

I think it will be private, but the forum is open for others to say what they feel or think.

...in other words, you won't know if a photo has 100 votes or 1 until the voting is over.

...and thanks for the idea Jake.
