Stuck on Aetna Mountain

My brother and I hit Aetna Mountain today with a couple of friends.

One of them tried the "peanut butter hole" and did not quite make it.

Here is the video from the recovery effort. The Red Jeep is on 36 Super Swampers and the white one is 44 boggers for size reference.

Enjoy!

Re: Stuck on Aetna Mountain

They ended up winching him out backward with a Yota that had a 12,000lb winch anchored to a tree.

His air filter came loose going in and sucked some water into the motor. We think that the motor may have hydro locked. Hopefully it will run again for him.

You answered the two questions that immediately came to my mind ... why with that much mud in front, not pull from the other direction ... and why there didn't seem to be anyone driving the stuck vehicle.

Reall cool video though ... hope your friends truck is ok.

Re: Stuck on Aetna Mountain

Man that truck was stuck, but my first thought was why not try and pull him out the way he went in as it seemed like they were burying him further as they pulled to the front. those were some hardcore rigs that were trying to pull him out...during the last tug on the video did the strap on the red rig break?

The strap broke on the purple buggy, it actually knocked the guys hat off.

There was another truck stuck right beside the red jeep that made it hard to get behind him.
