I just installed new wheels and tires and wanted to get them dirty so I took a road up to an old mining town called Apex, near Central City, Colorado. The trail above 10,000 feet was covered with snow so I couldn't make it very far and since I was alone didn't want to get too crazy. So only reached a dirt level of 1 out of 10, although I did get to run a few steep rocky sections to test the tires - much better than stock!
Saturday, I tried to get to Apex via the Moon gulch and Gamble Gulch trails....WRONG. Still way too much snow on the trails that are sheltered by the trees.
Sucks...80 degrees in Denver and too much snow on the trails.

I agree, I'm over the snow, can't wait for July 4th to get down to the San Juan Mountains.
