The Gold Fever Trail in Big Bear California is a very easy, and very scenic ride through a little bit of California's "gold rush" history. Here are a couple of videos my girlfriend made on December 31, 2007 as we traversed this historic road.

There was a little snow on the back side of the mountain, as you can see in the second clip. The trail literally went from being dry and dusty, to super muddy, to snow and ice, and then dry and dusty again. We came across an abandoned 4 door sedan in the mud, as well as a family in a non-4x4 pickup that was really struggling to get up a snow covered part of the trail.

For fun, we did a lot of the deep and nasty muddy parts in 2WD and you know what, it was no problem...
