When I read something like this, I don't know if people are serious or just messing with us SSers . I mean you can't be serious, you have an FJ and they're all beautiful, so you MUST be messing with us, right? I really don't know what to say other than thank you, and may your next FJ be an SS, what what!

Did you take delivery on the day you purchased? If so, you'll be the earlier Sandstorm owner!! You would unseat geo88 for that special mention.
Are you going to Ouray this July for the Summit?
Welcome to this group, and we look forward to your contributions.
Salutes!!

Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread

Just back from a ton o' snow in Tahoe over the past few days. I saw more FJ's in the last 4 days than ever! Must have been 12-14. Sadly no SS other than the Rocky Pup. It was cool tho!

I have to do a search, but has anyone had problems with their wipers and ice on the windshield?? Mostly on the Driver's side. It started out clean, but then iced up, and the wipers glided over the ice---very difficult to see going over the pass. I finally had the wipers at full speed and the defroster on high. Am I a goof or what!? Any suggestions? SS Owners seem to be sharp, so I thought that I'd start here.
Thanks!

MR FJCZR . . . get on the web and look at dealer inventories . . . you will find one somewhere but be ready . . . to trade

Before the Sandstorm I just couldn't decide yellow, blue, silver all with the funky "I wish I were still young" names. When talk started about the 08 colors I put the purchase in a holding pattern until I could see one in person. At that point, the decision was made. Sandstorm it is. A nice orange or green would have been close competition but I sure like the way this color hides the dirt and dust, especially since I have a 1/4 mile long gravel driveway which is pretty dusty in the summer.
Well I finally I saw my first Sandstorm in person... Although we both were on opposite side of the highway I had to do a head turn to take it all in... It looked good though. Maybe I'll see more around my area now... too bad none of modded so cool like some of SSers on this forum.
Keep FJ Rockin!!!

Jen it is sad when you don't see another Sandstorm.

I went with winter blades to avoid any icing issues. So far so good for me in the Northeast.
