partially black out the hood. I bought the vinyl thingy on e-bay and it's
supposed to cut down on glare, so it might be cool!!

Nice of you to check in Jen!! I don't know what the question marks next to my name are supposed to mean, but I am here lurking on this thread. Actually, the only place I have time to visit nowadays is this thread here.
My rig has not seen any mods or updates since a while, unlike yours. If you bought the vinyl sheet for the hood, might as well try it, and if you don't like it, remove it. If glare from the hood bothers you, then I predict blacking out would help.
