There is some Sandstorm paint under there.....No, really there is!!!
How did you get such a perfect and even coating on you SS???? Did you use a spray gun or some kind of machine for this effect? You couldn't possibly have gotten this look from off roading, not even if you completely submerged the FJ under mud.....I tease I tease....
I agree that this color would be awesome if offered. These are very cool pics, thanks for sharing.

My secret formula:
SS FJC + 3 day old mud hole (slightly watery) + 30 - 40 mph + 3 year old son saying, "FASTER Daddy!!" =

3 year olds are AWESOME !!!! OK, now I understand, but your formula has one error in it. It is missing: "one all-too-happy driver with a lot of cleaning to do afterwards"

I have seen another SS here in west palm but have never been near to talk to them.
I have seen more around here lately even one without a rack just like me, well it didn't have trail rash or black handles and mirrors.
I guess that means to distinguish myself it is time to change the front bumper, change the rear bumper, change the tires, add some sliders, add some skids, and whatever else I feel necessary.

Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread
Is there a Sandstorm owner who has Wet Okole seat covers? I am trying to see their color choices online, but they don't translate well to a computer monitor. They offer a Tan and Cashew, but both look greenish gray on my display. If there was a color that matched the SS look I would order it instead of the old black or light gray standbys.

How can I tell what the production date is for my SSFJC by looking at the VIN?
1. Position one represents the nation of origin, or the final point of assembly. For instance, cars made in the U.S. start with 1, Canada is 2, Mexico is 3, Japan is J, and Germany is W.
2. Position two tells you about the manufacturer. For example, A is for Audi, B is for BMW, L is for Lincoln and N is for Nissan.
3. This letter tells you about the make.
4. Positions four through eight tell you about the car, such as the series, body type, restraint system, and engine code.
5. Position nine is the check digit, a number from 0-9 or the letter X. By some magic finagling, law enforcement officials can detect if you've tampered with your VIN by this character.
6. Position 10 indicates the model year. The letters from B-X correspond to the model years starting with 1981, with X bringing up the rear with 2000; model years 2001 and up are indicated with numbers, starting with the number 1. There is no I, O, Q, U or Z. Confusing? Here's a list of the model years: B=81, C=82, D=83, E=84, F=85, G=86, H=87, J=88, K=89, L=90, M=91, N=92, P=93, R=94, S=95, T=96, V=97, W=98, X=99, Y=00, 1=01, 2=02, 3=03, 4=04, 5=05, 6=06.
7. The letter or number in position 11 indicates where the vehicle was assembled. For instance, 9 identifies that it was made in Detroit, Michigan.
8. The last 6 digits (positions 12 through 17) are the production sequence numbers.
Date of manufacture is on inside door jam upper right corner of the label.
