Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread
First the necessary tools.
Preparation is key
Almost ready for the paint booth
Almost done and almost done
Just need to clean up the trim and it is good to go

Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread
I got bored today so i painted my bezel and the toyota symbol. I am going to have to repaint the symbol in the future because i lost some paint when i was unmasking. It isn't so bad that most people would even notice.

Hello!!!! Welcome and congrats on your new SS. It's nice to see one so close to where I live, it means the odds are high that's we'll meet on a trail ride soon (I hope you'll be off roading your rig).
Your brotherhood/sisterhood "membership" has been confirmed at position 72. Welcome again .

How can I tell what the production date is for my SSFJC by looking at the VIN?
If you want to know when your FJ is made, rather than how to interpret a VIN number, then look at the plate on the inside jamb of driver door. The date of manufacture is printed (month and year) on the top right hand corner of label, if I remember correctly.
That's quite a change, and congratulations on your choice is definitely in order .
I made a similar choice from Infiniti G35 to FJ. My thought process seemed extremely natural at the time, like "What the heck am I doing with a sports car?" I did not even blink much when I decided that an off-roading vehicle is more appropriate, and it was a matter of time before I fell into the FJ. It's a great vehicle regardless of color, and a greater vehicle when you buy the color you love.
Congrats and welcome to this thread. Please post pics and stories whenever you can, we dig participation at all levels .
BTW, nice choice of screen name, it is not lost on us SS owners!!

It is. I thought I had included that as well with the vin info
