That's quite a change, and congratulations on your choice is definitely in order .

I made a similar choice from Infiniti G35 to FJ. My thought process seemed extremely natural at the time, like "What the heck am I doing with a sports car?" I did not even blink much when I decided that an off-roading vehicle is more appropriate, and it was a matter of time before I fell into the FJ. It's a great vehicle regardless of color, and a greater vehicle when you buy the color you love.

Congrats and welcome to this thread. Please post pics and stories whenever you can, we dig participation at all levels .

BTW, nice choice of screen name, it is not lost on us SS owners!!

Thanks!

It was hard for me to trade in my Corvette for the FJ. It took about 4 months of research and restless decision making to let go of the Vette and get the FJ. I have no doubts on my decision that it was an excellent choice to trade in the Vette.

I absolutely LOVE the FJ and I can't wait to modify this beast! I have a history with Toyota's, so this vehicle is a natural fit with me.

I didn't know if anyone would get my music and FJ reference but congrats! I knew I wanted the Sandstorm; I had to symbolize that someway! I have played DaRude's Sandstorm in my FJ and well, it just might be a natural fit for this vehicle regardless of what music you prefer.

Thanks for the welcoming and I hope to see you on a trail sometime!

Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread

Been lurking around here for a bit. Great website btw.

I purchased mine 3-27-08. I think I have the only one here in columbus. Everyone seems to know where I am, or where I was at a certain time. I have discovered this to be not so good...

Sandstorm was the only color I was going to buy, it just looks classier IMO than the others.

First mod? Some more aggressive tires are needed badly to help combat the mall crawler look going on.

Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread

I already posted this in a new thread, but it's my favorite picture of my FJ so far so I thought I'd stick it here as part of the official Sandstorm record!

Great pictures, thanks!
And as the old saying goes "the worst day fishing beats the best day working".
Nice tranquil spot for your FJ.
