Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread
These are from Fins-n-Things, not a hard trail either but still fun. I dont have too many pics of the FJ from this trail, I was in front and it was the first trail that our friends had ever been on, ever, so they werent too worried about taking pics for us, rather just staying alive...
Here's one of my buddy in his 4runner, first time ever wheeling, he had just followed me up the ledge...
Another of the 4runner, this was a pretty steep ledge, front bumper was plowing sand...
Riley, digging her toes in the sand...
This is coming down the back side of Fins-n-Things where you are acutally running on part of the Porcupine Rim trail at the same time...
Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread
These got mixed up in my photbucket for some reason and werent in order, just some more from the trail that leads to Top of the World...
Need to get her a phone book to sit on ...
I'll see what my buddie sends me from his camera, should have some more shots of the FJ, when he sends them I'll throw some up if everyone wants to see them.
Like i said, i have a TON more pics, but they arent all of a Sandstorm FJ, so i'll save those for a specific trip report thread later.
If any of you are ever going to Moab and want some company shoot myself or Chelle_Belle a PM, we can be there in about 5 hours and love making weekend trips there, usually camp but dont mind staying in hotels either. Pretty much any weekend works for us, especially a 3 day-er (is that a word?)

Dont think we are going to be making Ouray, we would love to, especially since we live so close but too many things going on and I dont think either of us will be able to take off of work through the week. We may swing down there on Saturday or Sunday and just hang out for the day then head back home, would be cool to see so many other FJ's running around.
On a side note, here are a few pics from Memorial Day weekend, we took the SandBox (thats what she calls her FJ) to Moab, we took 400 pics but heres just a few...
Ya, well, it's all in good fun. You put someone like that out there, and you're bound to get comments (thought my, "Oh my" was actually in fairly good taste, and pretty tame at that).
I don't mind when I hear stuff from other well-meaning hubbies when they see my wife (i.e. 1, 2, 3, etc). They are human as well, after all.
Anyway, sorry to hear you can't make the Summit. I know what you mean with being too busy and all. This time though, we found out about it early enough and made it work once I got the message that a slot opened up while on the wait list.
We'll see you there (SandBox shouldn't be too tough to pick out in the crowd) if you show up on the weekend at all.
Hey, great pics from Utah. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, and don't worry, I don't think your wife (or some others around here on the forum) would agree that you're ugly at all (oh, $hyt, they're not going to string me up now for complimenting a guy, are they?).
Take care.

I know man, i was just giving you a hard time. The comments from the peanut gallery (no offense) dont bother me, she's beautiful and there's nothing i can do about it!
Hopefully we can make the Summit for a day just to tool around. We knew about it way in advance also but i seperated from the military recently and we werent too sure how the job thing was going to play out so we didnt want to make plans then.
Thanks for telling me i'm pretty too, i think.
EDIT: I just clicked on your links and realized you are from Boulder, we love that place, i had a job offer there when i seperated and kinda wish i would have taken it now. Didnt realize you guys were so close, I'll shoot you a PM next time we are headed out with the FJ somewhere, or let me know next time you guys are going out, I'm always looking for other people to wheel with and I know my wife would love to meet other girls who enjoy getting out too.

Ya, there are lots of us in the general area, and we've already been out on a couple trail runs with some of them (Colorado FJs). Here are some relevant links in case you're not familiar with them yet...
We got together for our May meeting at Stevinson Toyota in Aurora.
It was pretty cool to see the underside of these things; especially BLUE THUNDER's full set of Rasta skid plates.
...and here are links to my pics from the two trail runs we've been on with them so far...
Metberry Gulch (near Woodland Park & Westcreek - went right through Colorado Springs to get there)
Spring Creek (near Idaho Springs & Downieville on I-70)
There's at least one other Sandstorm sibling in the area as well, robsp222. We've been out on the Boulder area trails a couple times (and I helped him install his Rasta skids last weekend - oh my, they are so freakin cool - almost indestructable).
Yeh, contact me for sure and we'll go out some time.
If you guys can make it, try to plan to hook up with the group for the June 22 trail run. There will be a group from the Toyota Trail Teams joining us. It should be a great day.

Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread
Nothing special here, just had to get the he$&^&# out of town! It's hard to get that sandstorm color accurate in a photo isn't it. P.S I like my little flag. I put it there for Memorial day but now I don't want to take it off. I'd better before it dissapears.

Dude, seriously. What the hell, man. I get a funny feeling just looking at this. Zero chance, I mean 0.0000000% chance I could do this.
You're a better man than I (and that isn't even a comment about your wife!).
