I know I'll probably sound like a big dork by saying this, but I'm pretty sure at least a couple of others would be thinking the same thing (watch, they do a poll and come to find out = nope...I'm the only one - hahaha)...

Gathering in Ouray for a 'Sandstorm Family' photo.
Are we going to plan it before the trip or wait till we get there and try to hook up somehow?

Of course, we could just wing it, but does anyone want to plan a specific night/time/place?

steven
I'll be the one in the Sandstorm FJ. You can recognize by the color.

Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread

Seriously, let's make a plan to get together and scope out each other rides. We will be in Ouray on Monday before the Summit and plan on doing some trails. It would be cool to run with a bunch of SS.

I plan to get there early but not sure how early as I'm hoping to check out some other stuff in the Four Corners area before the Summit. I'd like to run some of the trails that aren't on the "trail run list" before the Summit begins.

Eight of us Sandstormers headed to Ouray ? I won't feel so special anymore. Around here, I have yet to see another one on the road. Then again, I don't drive around day-in and day-out looking for others.

dirtchick, I wish I had as nice a rack as yours ! Wait ! That didn't sound right.

Komombo, the Superwinch and Exp 1 bumper are due in next week.
NO worries Woodsman, when you see all the other FJ colors in Ouray, a group of 8 SS FJs will make us look like the red-headed step children of the lot. Speaking of red-headed, I think dirtchick is, isn't she? We'll find out.

CONGRATS on your choice for bumper/winch combo, it's a great one!! I am glad you finally made the decision, you'll be happy with your choice .

I would hate to break this news to you Steven, but you are in the majority on this one, I am willing to bet everyone must have been thinking just that, group photo! It's actually a must, and missing an opportunity to do it at Ouray would be unforgivable.
Since you've brought the subject up, would be willing to coordinate the time and place for the group photo shoot? We may have to set the time for it, and then choose the place later once we get there and discover the locale a bit more. I would do the coordination if I wasn't so busy nowadays.
Cheers.

Sorry to hear you're not going to make Ouray, we would have loved to meet you.

Welcome fburnett, you're the fastest moving SS owner in terms of mods. Did you have the dealer install these mods or did you do them yourself? Very nice either way.

You've been added to the list of SS owners. We will be on the lookout for pics of your FJ when they become available. Salutes .

Hello 4rocker, nice pics indeed! It looks so peaceful where you are.

We welcome you to the SS owner brotherhood/sisterhood. When did you acquire your FJ, and will you be in Ouray?

Nice to see one more SS added to the list in this day and age. I am happy they're still turning up, what can I say.
K.

Sure thing. I'll coordinate.
So, should we do it
1) here in this thread,
2) separate new thread,
or
3) via PM?

steven

p.s. Ya, we could meet somewhere real obvious at a certain day/time just to make sure we're all there, and then move to a spot with a great view of the mountains or overlooking the town or something like that.
