Not sure you all noticed but I represented well in the Toyota Trail teams Rubithon and Summit Videos. I was the only Sandstorm on the Rubithon and most or all of the moving Sandstorm and Blackbear Sandstorm FJ shots on the Summit video were me!!
Thank you for letting me know how much I have missed. I am sure you have represented well, I have met you in person, and you + SS FJ combo look nice together . If you have a thread link to the Trail Teams video, please hook me up (private message me?) I need a fix bad, right about now !

Hello, everyone!
I've been lurking for a while, ogling your Sandstorms... and finally, tonight I picked up mine!
'08 SS, MT, with convenience and off-road package. LOVE it so far. Driving home I got to go over the infamous Highway 17, which is a great trial by fire for any new vehicle. (For those of you who don't know, it's a very winding but beautiful highway through the mountains that goes between Santa Cruz and San Jose. Freaks out the uninitiated big time! I think it's great fun to drive, provided there's not much traffic.) The FJ was balanced and solid and handled great all the way.
I am going to have a LOT of fun with this truck, I can already tell. (The dogs like it too, though they won't get to go for a ride in the new fJ until tomorrow!)
By FAR the best color!
May I join your club?
Christina
It is not our club, it is OUR club, so you may not only join, but you may also run amok with your contributions and posts, we expect them, we want them, we need them; plus you do meet the most stringent of criteria for belonging: "you have to be alive, and you have to own a Sandstorm FJ"...SCORE!!
You have been welcomed by two of the finest SS owners: a fossil hunter and a wood shaper. Me, I am the "father" as ocr14a loves to call me, and half-senile already (or just too gosh darn it busy, that's all) .
We look very much forward to seeing you lurk and contribute to this thread. I'll add you to the list now, and if you get a chance, tell us what city you and FJ live (or area) if this is not asking too much.
"Life's good in an FJ, but sweet in an SS FJ"-Father Komombo, circa 2008.

My sister, my sister,
you don't have to ask. I don't want to step on Father Kal's toes, but....you're IN!
Sadly, I don't have any toes, they were removed by plastic surgeons at birth and sent to a cave on the border of Tajikistan where they are safe from being found and stomped on. Me, on the other hand, have lived peacefully ever after. So my son Steven, you are doing a fantastic job welcoming people so promptly, I appreciate what you are doing, everyone does.

Great place for your first post and great color choice. Welcome
I see Ocr14a welcomed you already but now I must do the same.....
. . . and to both of you, Let the modifications begin !
Thank you Woodsman for the warm welcome and response. You and Steven are truly wonderful people. Since I am the "father", and Steven is the "Son", should you not be the "Holy ghost"?

At first, I thought maybe he was praying to the Summit gods on our behalf, but now that I look closer....is that a camera he's holding; pointing up toward Jay's face?
Hey, no idol worshiping allowed here
Really now, did you HAVE to blow up this picture now? I look deformed and goofy, something I have been trying to hide most of my life. Now it is documented! Who needs enemies when one has SS "brothers"?
I really miss getting buzzed with you guys by the fire pit :w ave:

Loving the FJ.
Color is great for where I am - doesn't attract excessive heat, and blends well with the local color of dirt. Handles so much better than my Tacoma Pre-Runner.
Congrats JAFFE you are the centennial SS owner!
Welcome to the group, it's a pleasure adding you to the brotherhood/sisterhood. Your FJ looks good, and you will have great fun with it, like we all are. When I first bought mine, I knew I would have fun, but the FJ has exceeded all of my expectations, mostly because of the all the places I have been, the people I have met, and some of the mods (NOT all of them, sadly).
Cheers to you and keep your posts and contributions coming, please?
K.
Re: The Brotherhood/Sisterhood of the SANDSTORMS Thread
Hey, Kal's back. Good to see you out and about . . . you know, with no toes and all.
I understand how busy you are as I am very busy for the next several weeks. Would you believe that I haven't gone through a full tank of gas in the FJ since returning from the Summit ? . . . and, sadly, haven't given it a good washing since then either.

Amojohny, it's good of you to select our brotherhood for your first post. You've got nice rigs, and mirror says one of them is the prettiest and fairest of them all (guess which one?)
You have been welcomed by Steven and James, and I knew these two folks, and they are fine-O-matic gentlemen of the SS degree! So I'll welcome you too and gladly add you to our list, although we would love to learn which part of the country you live (it looks like SoCal from the pictures) and when did you take possession of your FJ.
Cheers brother .
K.
Oh yea, I forgot to add... I live in Hollywood, CA, and i picked up my 08 FJ in 06/08. Thanks for the welcome guys.

Hey WOODSMAN I happen to live about 20 minutes away from the Paul Bunyan and Babe statue that are in your Avatar.
I will take this opportunity to welcome you both to the Bortherhood/Sisterhood of the Sandstorms.
Hawktomas, so you are from the land of the coastal redwood . . . I wanted so bad to load a couple on my pickup last time I was out that way but settled for admiring the grove at Jedidiah Smith SP, which I believe is right next to you. I got some great pictures until my camera battery died. You, of course, are lucky enough to see these beautys everyday. You are the BTW,
